Extra capacity for the peak shipping season. Same lanes and the same pay as our regular runs, for a fixed stretch. Drivers who work out well are often the first we call when a permanent seat opens.

Pay and benefits

Pay you can bank on.

Hourly rate: $28 to $30 per hour. Paid weekly by direct deposit.
Bonuses: Performance bonus, safety bonus, and a cash referral program for drivers you bring with you.
Paid holidays: Yes.
Home time: Home every day. This is local work, not regional and not over the road.
Steady freight: Working exclusively as a FedEx Ground contractor means a consistent workload week to week and through the year, not a feast and famine board.

Equipment and support

Newer day cabs, and a fleet manager who knows your name.

Trucks: Newer day cabs, maintained on schedule. You are not nursing a unit that should have been in the shop last month.
Technology: Motive ELD, Lytx event recorders, and PrePass.
Trailers: 28 ft pups, 53 ft vans and doubles sets. Drop and hook throughout, so you are not on a dock and not touching product.
Support: A personal fleet manager rather than a dispatch queue. At this size you are known by name.

Qualifications

What we need to see.

Listed in full so you can rule yourself in or out before either of us spends time on it.

Licence and age: Class A CDL, 23 years of age or older.
Endorsements: Doubles and triples endorsement required.
Experience: Minimum 12 months verifiable tractor trailer experience within the last 36 months.
Driving record: Three year MVR with two or fewer moving violations, and at most one accident in three years.
Disqualifiers: No DUI or DWI in the last 5 years. No felonies in the past 7 years.
Medical: Current DOT medical card, and passing a drug screen.
FedEx requirements: Must pass the FedEx Ground background check and the FedEx driving test.
Eligibility: E-Verify.
